The Inaugural Meros Africa Fellow – Dr. Shade Kolade

The Meros Center is delighted to introduce Dr. Shade Kolade as the first Meros Africa Fellow.

Dr. Kolade is a public health researcher, educator, and consultant with over twenty years of experience in community-based health research, training, and capacity building across Africa and North America.

With a PhD in Microbiology and academic training in human subjects research, Dr. Kolade has worked extensively in maternal and child health, nutrition, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives. Her work has included collaboration with government agencies, international organizations such as UNICEF, and community partners to design and implement evidence-based programs that strengthen local health systems.

“I view my work in public health and research as an extension of my calling to serve with compassion, integrity, and excellence. The mission of the Meros Center deeply resonates with my own values and purpose, particularly your focus on equipping ministries and researchers to apply evidence and training in ways that support holistic care and reflect Christian witness.”

Dr. Kolade is passionate about integrating research, training, and faith-centered service to support ministries that care for the whole person. As the Meros Africa Fellow, she will support the growth of the Meros Africa Network by identifying and collaborating with new partners, coordinating training events, and helping ministries measure and strengthen their impact through research and training.

We look forward to the contributions Dr. Kolade will make as we continue to build a global network of Christian ministries and researchers working together to advance health and share the love of Christ.
