Stronger Initiatives Rapid Impact Assessment

MAI, Stronger Initiatives Rapid Impact Assessment

Organization:  Medical Ambassadors International (MAI)

Background/Context:

MAI is committed to transforming communities through Community Health Evangelism.  MAI aims to enhance the effectiveness and impact of its initiatives by developing a comprehensive framework to assess and improve program performance through identification of key features of CHE communities and strategies. In the beginning stages of this project, the Meros team worked alongside MAI leadership and staff to design an initial survey tool and workshop guide to assess impact requiring minimal resources.  The tool is now ready for final input from subject matter experts and pilot testing in the global community setting.

Funded By: Medical Ambassadors International

Research Question:

What is an easy-to-use rapid impact assessment tool that can be used by a global faith-based non-profit organization to assess and improve program impact?

Study Aims:

  1. Create rapid impact assessment data collection tools, user protocols, and web-based platform in collaboration with MAI Advisory Group
  2. Validate the rapid impact assessment tool in eight pilot communities
  3. Analyze data and user feedback to develop a validated and feasible implementation plan.

Impact:

Findings from this pilot project will help global MAI staff, volunteers, and community members implement an easy-to-use and effective tool to assess and improve program impact on health, social connectedness, and shared growth in faith.  This rapid impact assessment tool will also be a valuable resource for similar faith-based organizations.
